Welcome to your home for news and information regarding The Janesville Community Ice Arena Project.

The goal of this project is to provide the community of Janesville, its children, young adults and families with a facility that promotes positive recreational outlets in the form of hockey, figure skating and recreational skating. The life lessons our children learn today through healthy physical activity, sportsmanship and a strong work ethic will carry them into their future. Open skate and family skate activities at the current rink boast recent attendance records of 300+ skaters for a single session. Beginning hockey and learn to skate programs are over flowing with new participants. Girls hockey is exploding in our community.

The North American Hockey League’s Janesville Jet’s amateur hockey team is enjoying enormous success in its first season, while providing hours of entertainment for its large fan base. Home town hero Tucker Fredricks competes in his second Olympic competition with the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. As these programs grow improving our ice facilities will only strengthen the already positive economic impact that these activities have on the local business community. Ice based athletics in Janesville are a shinning star bringing light to a gloomy period in the city’s history.
